Brendan Rogders celebrates Hoops victory.

Brendan Rogders and his men had been waiting and preparing for this day through time past. Knowing the weight of importance placed on today’s game shoulders Brendan Rodgers and his team waisted no opportunity in clinching to the league title. The Celts 5 goals to 0 lead and win against their rival Rangers sent Paradise in another level of jubilation, knowing that the league title would be returning back to Paradise, making it the 7th time in a row for the Hoops and also the first time in 39 years that Celtic gets a title in a Glasgow derby.

Before the game, Brendan Rodgers encouraged his men to focus on their game and ensure that they played with their strengths. Fortunately the hoops delivered and the game was in massive favor to Brendan Rogers and his men. Brendan Rodgers had no need to hold back after the title match, he said boldly and proudly

“Our basic rules today were very simple,” Brendan Rodgers explained. “It was to attack with real aggression and intensity, try and recover the ball as we quickly as we could whenever we lost it, and if we couldn’t do that, make sure we were tight and compact, and look to dominate as much of the ball as we could, and give it our best shot.

“And I don’t think I could have asked any more of the players. They were absolutely brilliant and I’m really proud.

“These games are full of emotion, but we said to the players beforehand that we obviously knew the consequences of the game and all the historical facts around it – for us to win the title against Rangers for the first time in 39 years – but we said to them that they had to play football.”

The game kicked off with the Celts craving for the win, there was no hold back as the Bhoys lynched even closer to the title. Odsonne Edouard took lead of the strike in place of injured Moussa Dembele, found the backed off the net 14mins into the game and scored another goal with 4 minutes left in the first half. James Forrest showed a diligent skilled work in making a solo effort to scoring the 3rd goal at the second half. After which bother Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor increased the score board to 5 goals to 0.

Mean while Paradise never stopped roaring with joy and been pleased with amusement as the Celtic lovers screamed and sheared with singing and joy and at the same time putting out support to the team.

“For us and our fans, it was a special day to wrap up the title,” the manager said. “We had a performance away at Hearts last season to win the league.

“I’m really pleased with how the players coped with that pressure and expectancy. To then go and stay as calm as they did but play with that intent in the game was really pleasing, and the supporters obviously responded to it.

“There won’t be too many atmospheres like there was today around the world. This is a wonderful football club. Celtic versus Rangers games are renowned throughout the world for reasons like today. It was a real special atmosphere and it was great that we could make our supporters happy.”
