Celtics heavy lose to PSG

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN…7
(Neymar 8, 21, Cavani 27, 78, Mbappe 34, Veratti 75, Alves 79)
CELTIC…1
(Dembele 1)
This game happened to be an interesting one as CELTIC were first to score the match opener against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League but the goal was soon turned into a smear as the French side’s not only return with an equalizing goal but scored six more goals having the advantage, winning 7-1 in the Parc des Princes.
Moussa Dembele being a swift sharp striker that he is took a straight dive at goal just after the first half whistle went off handing Celtic a shock lead. PSG’s been sure of their world-class front three as well as other team members took the bull by the horn. There were different contributions from Dani Alves and Marco Verratti ensured a comfortable win for the home side.
Celtic at the first minute of the game won a corner which Olivier Ntcham capitalized on. He took a low pass across the PSG box to Moussa Dembele, who wasted no time in finding the back of the net passing the PSG keeper; Alphonse Areola. The Hoops kept the game play as long as they could, holding PSG to ransom even at their base of play.
Not too long into the first half with a difference of 7 minute in total Neymar Jnr took up the chance of scoring the equalizing goal and didn’t miss, the game continued with momentum building and the Brazilian showed is worth again as a £200million signing by putting in the second goal precisely 21mins into the first half assuring his teams lead over Celtic, both goals were shot in at the far post. The 25-year-old afterward laid pass to his team mate Edinson Cavani who tried but couldn’t just find the back of the net.
Celtic was able to put up a threaten game play but couldn’t just get to the finish, as the Hoops built up attacking leads the French’s had a means of turning it in their favor. Kylian Mbappe is a prove of such tactic as he made the 3rd goal 13 minutes after the 2nd goal and was later prevented his 2nd goal by Craig Gordon just as the first half came to an end.
The Hoops started the second half with no time to waste, attacking the home side. This brought a sweet opportunity as Kieran Tierney drove the ball into the box for Dembele to make another goal but the PSG defence cleared the danger.
PSG continued to look a threat going forward though Celtic dealt well with the attacking threat. However, three goals in the space of six minutes gave PSG a margin of victory which was cruel to Brendan Rodgers’ side. Cavani scoring his second goal of the night made it 5-1 before Dani Alves and Marco Verratti scored in quick succession just before the game came to an end. It was another tough night for the Hoops against the French side.
