Man Utd 1-0 Tottenham: Late Manchester United Goal Seals Their Win

Manchester united striker Anthony Martial came in as a substitute to score a late goal that wins the match for Manchester United as they defeat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at tge Old Trafford stadium this afternoon.

This fixture was very tight and an entertaining first half with non of the teams taking much risks and neither did they slack in their defence.

As Manchester United controlled the gameplay and at the same time were working hard  to open the tight Spurs defence.

Mourinho’s men kept on pressing to break through the Tottenham defence in the second 45 minutes of the game.

With Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku hitting the post with a strong header as Dele Alli not long after missed a good chance to score  the first goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

The tension increased with just ten minutes remaining to the end of the match, Romelu Lukaku laid it on for Anthony Martial to go through Eric Dier and displaced th e Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to open the scoring in the 81st minute to make it 1-0.

Tottenham Hotspur couldn’t find their way back into the game as united went right through the north Londoners  and they held their lead and it turned out to be the winning goal as they ended 1-0.

Manchester United remain second as they move two points below Man City while Tottenham remains third on the premier league table.
